Yamaha BB2024 Bass

BB2024 is the ultimate passive bass with defined low end and aggressive attack. This handcrafted high end bass guitar satisfies all bass players who are looking for strong presence and a powerful tone.

Spline Joint

BB2024 uses a 3-piece body structure in which the bridge is placed on the centre piece in order to convert the maximum amount of string vibration to the body. Instead of simply gluing wood pieces, we place a maple 'spline' plate into position on the joint sections. This way, we get as much body vibration as a 1-piece body would give but with the stability of a 3-piece body structure.

Diagonal Body Thru Stringing

In Diagonal Body Thru Stringing, strings are angled 45 degreed at the saddle to reduce the stress and secure their tension. And, because the attachment area of the strings to the saddles is larger than conventional vertial stringing, far better transmisson of the string vibration is captured.

Pickups

Both front and rear pickups have been specially created for the BB series. For the ultimate passive bass sound, Open Face Pickups are used to cope with even the most aggressive picking.

5-Piece Neck

The necks are comprised of a maple and mahogany 5-piece structure, providing durability and preventing the neck from warping and curling.

Nickel Silver Nut

We chose nickel silver for the nut material on the BB2024 - the same material used for the fret wires. Unlike conventional bone or arificial ivory, it gives the same tone and response even on open notes. 

ARE Technology

Our proprietary Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (ARE) process has been applied to the wood used for the BB2024. This advanced chemical-free treatment gently ages the wood to give an incredible tone - right out of the box.
